LIONS GotSneakers & CRUNCH FITNESS – THROUGH June 8, 2026
There are an estimated 600 million pair of shoes going into America’s landfills every year! 100% of these shoes can be recycled and most of these shoes can still be reused. That’s why the San Joaquin Lions Club decided to start a sneaker drive fundraiser with GotSneakers in collaboration with CRUNCH FITNESS! The sneakers we collect through the GotSneakers program will help us raise much needed funds AND will keep sneakers out of landfills. Talk about a win-win! Can you collect 15-20 pair of gently used or new sneakers to help us out? With your help and CRUNCH FITNESS, we can achieve great results! If you can’t collect 15-20 pair, don’t worry. Stockton San Joaquin Lions Club’s “Bags For Benches” Project Round 9 – September 2025 through June 2026
We did not collect during July and August to give our partners a break and to give us a chance to catch up on the backlog! Round 9 kicked off September 1, 2025. Round 8 Bench Dedication was at the Oak Park Senior Center on August 5, 2025 at their National Night Out celebration. For the “Bags for Benches, Round 8”, we have recycled 1700 pounds of soft plastics since September 1 and have at least 400 more lbs. waiting to be processed, plus a trailer load on the way from Livingston Lions. Thank you, Plastic Partners and Community.
